July Prayers & Needs

We have some very special sisters & brothers in Christ that need our prayers!

I'm calling all of us branches to pray for the Christies. Don and Ruth are members of our group and need us to come in agreement with them in prayer for their daughter, Rachel. She has had some major health issues and the doctors seem to be at a loss as to how to help her, so it's up to us folks! The Word of God says that WE are to lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover. I am standing on that Word. It says that whatever we shall ask in the name of Jesus shall be done. I am standing on that Word. Jesus said that we will do all the things He did and even greater things. I am standing on that Word. WE HAVE the power of Christ in us! So Lord God, we pray: Complete and total healing for Rachel, in her body, in her mind and in her spirit. The enemy MUST leave her and never return. As a child of the most HIGH God, she is entitled to her health and all the other things the Father has promised us. Jesus took the stripes for her healing, and it is done. Jesus said it is finished, and it is. Her healing happened 2000 years ago, so Lord God, I am now COMANDING illness to leave her and for the manifestation of health in her. All healing happens by your hand, Glorious Father, and I thank you for it right now and give you ALL the glory for it in Jesus mighty name! We, the branches of your Vine, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your daughter, Rachel, and for her family. In addition Lord, we ask and give thanks to You for the relief and peace you will bring to Don and Ruth and the whole family... relief and peace from financial struggles and from emotional stresses. They are faithful servants to your kingdom, Lord, and we recognize them and thank you that this manifestation of relief and peace is ON ITS WAY! Thank you Father, for You are faithful above all in your promises, and your love, and in your care for us. Blessed Father, thank you. Amen.

For Grace and Adam, Father we come in agreement for restoration and your provision. The bank where they received their car loan is trying to double their car payment, even though they've not been late or missed any payments. This is an attack of the enemy and I bind it now, in Jesus name! We COMMAND the enemy and ALL his cohorts to leave them and go to dry and uninhabited places, never to return. They signed a contract for a set payment, Lord, and we call for this payment NOT to increase, but to stay as it has been, and we thank You for your favor and provision in this. We ask for restoration in their family and peace and joy in their home. We call for them to be drawn close to you in all, and ask You to touch them in such a way that they would know it is You and that it would increase their faith. Bring their family into a Biblical existence, treating each other how Your Word says it should be. We ask for your healing on every member of their family, and for your peace. Bring them increase in finances and help Grace find the perfect job for her. We give you glory and honor and humble thanksgiving for ALL you are doing in their lives, and we rest in You that it is done. Glory be to the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob!!! By Jesus authority and power, given to us through the Holy Spirit, we pray with humble hearts. Amen.

For Tammy (me), we branches come into agreement and pray Father, for a quick sale of the media equipment and a 100 fold return on the seed planted to that end. It has been some time since this prayer was first prayed Lord, and we ask for the manifestation to go forth. Call on the buyer(s) Lord God, and prompt them to act to make the purchase. We also ask for financial blessing Father, in the form of a job, or other means of income. Your will has been spoken to her that her work lies in the ministry, in writing, and in creating art. If this is Your will, instead of a regular job, we accept it, but ask Your favor in these means providing the income needed. She is faithful in tithes and offerings, and it is spoken in Your Word that You will pour out a blessing that we cannot contain if we are faithful. We stand on that Word, and we give you humble thanksgiving and glory for your blessings. The income needs are known to You, and she is willing to work hard and well, so Lord God, please bless her efforts abundantly. Thank you for your faithfullness and your favor in Jesus holy name. Amen.

Branches July News

Hello Fellow Branches in the Vine!

Here we are in July, and we are growing every day! In July, we have two meetings scheduled: July 6th, and July 20th. In both of these we will be learning about Holy Spirit change. Most of us are resistant to change, but it seems that we all want change. We are tired of the status quo, yet our brains try to retain it. Sounds like a contradiction, doesn't it? It is... and it usually causes a battle inside of us. We spend our money our time and our effort trying to effect change in our lives, often only to have it blow up in our faces, leaving us frustrated and despairing that it will ever happen for us. Psychologists, pharmacutical companies and self-help books have grown into huge industries because we are so dis-heartened with the way things are in our lives, yet in all our efforts, things often remain the same. We work on our issues, cover them with drugs and destructive habits and read and read and read... but when does the change actually come?

It comes when we finally realize that we can't do it on our own. None of that stuff will truly "change" us. It comes when we realize that no person can really change themselves. REAL change only occurs when we surrender to the Lord and allow HIM to change us. But how? I've heard it over and over and over again and said it just as much myself... HOW do I let go??? It seems so complicated, but then I'm told that with God, it is simple... people tell you to let go, but never tell you how. That's what we're going to talk about! Throughout the month of July, and maybe into August, we will be learning about change... how it happens, what to expect, how God works on and in us, what keeps us from changing and HOW to let go.

We will have some really cool projects that will put these concepts into tangible parables... visual aides, so to speak, that will hopefully shed some light on these subjects. Sometimes we have to look at things from a new perspective to get it, and that's what we're out to do. There will be projects, discussion, scripture, music and fun. All projects are on an elementary school level in their simplicity, so don't be concerned about something being too complicated. I'm out to enlighten here, not frustrate or confuse! So come, explore this NOW topic with us... you're among friends here... among the branches.

Branches June News

Hello Branches!

Unfortunately for us, we lost a dear sister and were unable to begin our group on the first Tuesday this month. It was more important for us to attend her memorial celebration of her life instead. No worries! She is now enjoying a beautiful dance with the Father, and we can start anytime. So, it is my intention to have our first meeting on the third Tuesday, which is June 15, 2010, still at 6:30. I am planning pizza muffins for our dinner. These can be creative and fun! We make our personal mini-pizzas on english muffins and I will have different toppings available so you can create your own just the way you like it! They cook quickly, which is one of the reasons I chose this dish. With a side salad, it's a fun & fairly nutritious meal! (If you are picky about salad dressings, bring what you like)

For our meeting, we will be doing a watercolor project that is VERY easy and should get our brains clicking about what it is to be a child, even if we are in adult bodies. I promise, it requires NO special skills and won't get you messy... but it will be fun and interesting. Come and join us for this joyful gathering!

Branches May News

Welcome all to the birth of Branches! It has been a long time coming, but the Lord has finally released me to begin. This month (May 2010), I am working on setting everything up: lesson plans, reference scripture, web site, cards and such. Everything is now almost ready. We will begin having meetings the first Tuesday in June!

I am so excited about what God is going to do in this group! And I'm thankful that He only gives me what I need to know at the time. I can be impatient with wanting to know it all, now... but God is patient with me, and just says to me, "Daughter, you are on a need to know basis, and right now, you don't need to know that." Thank you Lord for your grace. I won't pretend to know it all, or even exactly where this ministry is going. But what I DO know is that we can walk it together, and God will direct our steps. That's enough for me.

We are going to eat, have fun, make art, play, ask deep questions, look at new scientific discoveries, look at scripture in new ways, talk and more. Skipping and field trips may be involved... Say you're not creative? Hooey! We are made in the image of THE Creator, we ARE ALL creative beings... come! This group is about finding your creativity. Say you don't like to get dirty? Dirt and paint wash off... just put your play clothes on and try it... it can be really fun, and it can unlock things you never dreamed of. The Bible speaks of sharing a meal in fellowship with one another, and I get this. Think about your family... gatherings are usually centered around a meal. Christ's family is no different, and a meal just brings people together in ways that meal-less meetings cannot. For the first few gatherings, I will provide all the necessary food for creative & fun meals (if you have any food alergies, please inform me ahead of time), but then once things start rolling, we will do some pot-luck meals as well. I believe in active participation in groups, and hope to foster an atmosphere of safety, where we can speak freely and find our way together. We are all the body of Christ.

This is a voluntary group. I never want participants to feel pressured to be here. Come if you want, but do not feel obligated to something you do not want to do. There is a difference between obligation of committment though. If you are feeling led by God to this group and want to commit to it because of that, then you will also undoubtedly encounter some resistance from the enemy or from your own flesh from time to time. I don't judge there either. I fight it myself sometimes, but do fight... where-ever it is that God leads you.

Again, I welcome you and can't wait to see you in June!

We will be meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month. Starting at 6:30, we will have a dinner meal & fellowship until about 7:30, and then we will get started on that session's topic. Meetings will need to be over by 9:00 pm so people can get home and get some sleep, but if you need to leave a little earlier, that is understandable, and we won't hold it against you. Toward the end we will have open discussions so that no vital lesson piece is missed by those who opt to leave early. Peace be with you, and I'll see you in June... It's going to be great!
